THE WONDERFUL STORY OF A GIRL CALLED RAMONA
Ramona is a young girl from Switzerland, who came to Playa Blanca on holidays.
Back home Ramona shares her life with her cat Micky. Ramona was so impressed by Freddy's work that she wanted to find a way to help him.
School resumes and Ramona goes to attend one of her classes, religion. The teacher shares her idea to organize a fair to collect money for a good cause. Ramona tells the teacher about Freddy. All pupils are excited and come up with the wildest ideas.
To everybody's disappointment, the teacher refuses, so does the priest. The money has finance a project in Switzerland.
It was decided to amend the church's roof to allow storks to build their nests. Unfortunately, one year later, the fair took place, but the construction project has still not started...
Ramona would not give up. Months later, she and her friends insist on presenting to the class Freddy's work in Lanzarote. Because of the high interest of all, the teacher hangs a big white sheet on the wall and gives the pupils one month to gather ideas on how to support this action.
A month later everybody pass the list in review and agree to organize an afternoon for cozy chats with some entertaining events.
Again, the teacher hangs a big white sheet on the wall and the pupils are given once more a month to list their ideas on how to organize that day.
Finally it is decided: The event would take place, 21rst May 2014: Freddy's Day!

Pupils start to draw posters and flyers for the event. They write a song and a choreography for the opening of Freddy's Day.
They get organized into groups: 1. Raffle Group: They need to organize the raffle, to find sponsors and to buy prizes. 2. Football Championship Group: They have to get people to sign up in different teams. 3. Make Up Group: They have to practice how to put make up on other people's faces. 4. Reading Corner Group: They have to find books to read out. |
The fair was a great success and Ramona's class collected 600 Swiss Francs.
